Mrs. Frank E. PorterMrs. Phoebe M. (Bashaw) Porter, 80, of West Dummerston, formerly of Brattleboro, died Saturday at Hill-Crest Rest Home. The widow of Frank E. Porter, she had been ill five years. A high mass of requiem will be sung in St. John Berchman Roman Catholic Chapel, West Dummerston, tomorrow morning at 9:30. Friends may call at the Rhode & Dawley Funeral Home this evening from 7 to 9. She was born in South Charlestown, N. H. July 15, 1882, daughter of Eli and Elizabeth (Burnell) Bashaw. Her marriage to Mr. Porter took place Feb 3, 1900 in Bellows Falls. The couple lived in South Charlestown, N. H. before moving to Townshend in 1903. In 1933 they moved to Halifax. Mr. Porter died in 1943. His widow lived in Brattleboro with their late son, Harry Porter, until about five years ago. Survivors include one son, Robert B. of North Swanzey, N. H., and a daughter, Mrs. Frank E. Little of West Dummerston, with whom she lived.
